Confidence Isn’t Loud—It’s Clear and Quiet
“The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple.” — Albert Einstein
So here’s a fun little collision of worlds - I’m wrapping up a leadership course next week, and this morning a YouTube short on confidence popped into my feed.
In one session, we practiced “Elevator Explanations”—boiling your idea down to just three clear statements. (Yes, three. Not seventeen. Just three.)
Here’s what landed: If someone wants to know more, they will ask. You don’t need to convince. You just need to communicate.
Confidence, it turns out, isn’t about having all the answers or filling all the space. It reminds me of what we practice in Detox—pausing, listening, not rushing to fill the space with doing, eating, or explaining.
Confidence and detox both teach us: Emptiness isn’t lack—it’s potential. Same with our words. Same with our presence.
It comes down to:
✨ Your point of view
✨ Your recommended action
✨ And why it matters—benefits, consequences, or evidence
It’s simple. But not always easy. Still, when we practice clarity, we stop performing and start showing up. And that’s when people really start listening.
