Therapy vs. Unfolding
This comes up occasionally, so I want to clarify it.
Therapy is incredibly valuable. It's often the right place when something feels overwhelming, destabilizing, or rooted in trauma. Therapy helps you heal. It helps you regulate. It helps you return to baseline.
Unfolding is different.
Unfolding isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It's about becoming more conscious of what’s running you and stepping into a deeper, more integrated way of being.
Therapy asks: “What needs healing?”
Unfolding asks: “What is ready to emerge?”
Therapy restores functioning.
Unfolding expands capacity.
If someone is in crisis or dealing with clinical mental health challenges, therapy is the right move. Full stop.
But if you’re stable, functional, successful even and you feel something in you wants to deepen, that’s where unfolding lives.
This space is developmental. It's for becoming the version of you capable of carrying your Moonshot.
Both have great value. They just serve different layers.
If you’re unsure which fits you, DM me. I’m happy to help you think it through.
