I've missed being here
I genuinely have missed this community and reading @Brad Weyant information about Enneagram. I am having a little getaway for a few days so maybe I can catch up on some reading here. I have been absent because I am focusing on something that is currently needing all my time, but I am not missing forever....love this community.🫶

Enneagram Type Nine: The Three Subtypes
Every Type Nine seeks inner peace, harmony, and a sense of connection. But the three instincts shape how that desire for peace is expressed. 🛡️ Self-Preservation Nine – Appetite Focuses on creating comfort, stability, and well-being through familiar routines and simple pleasures. These Nines often find peace by settling into what feels safe, predictable, and nourishing. 🤝 Social Nine – Participation Focuses on belonging and contributing to the group. These Nines naturally support others, work for harmony, and often lose themselves in shared roles, responsibilities, or community. ❤️ One-to-One Nine – Fusion Focuses on creating deep connection through merging with another person. These Nines often prioritize the desires, interests, or energy of those they love, sometimes forgetting their own voice in the process. The instinct doesn't change the core Type Nine pattern, it changes where peace is sought and how connection is maintained. Understanding your subtype can reveal the unique way your personality avoids inner conflict and point you toward the deeper peace that comes from fully inhabiting your own presence. Reflection: Which of these three expressions feels most familiar to you or to a Type Nine in your life?

Enneagram Type Seven: The Three Subtypes
Every Type Seven seeks freedom, possibility, and the joy of experiencing life fully. But the three instincts shape how that search for fulfillment is expressed. 🛡️ Self-Preservation Seven – Family Focuses on creating abundance, comfort, and security for themselves and those they care about. These Sevens often express their optimism by providing, planning, and making sure everyone has what they need. 🤝 Social Seven – Sacrifice Focuses on contributing to the well-being of the group. These Sevens often set aside personal desires to serve a larger purpose, finding joy through generosity, idealism, and shared meaning. ❤️ One-to-One Seven – Suggestibility Focuses on excitement, inspiration, and the pursuit of extraordinary experiences. These Sevens are drawn to intensity, imagination, and possibility, bringing enthusiasm and vision into their closest relationships. The instinct doesn't change the core Type Seven pattern, it changes where fulfillment is sought and how the desire for freedom is expressed. Understanding your subtype can reveal the unique strategy your personality has developed and help you discover the deeper contentment that isn't dependent on the next experience. Reflection: Which of these three expressions feels most familiar to you or to a Type Seven in your life?

There are so many it becomes hard to separate and answer. With this I find myself drawn to the 3rd one

Enneagram Type Five: The Three Subtypes
Every Type Five seeks understanding, competency, and the inner resources to meet life with confidence. But the three instincts shape how that search for knowledge and security is expressed. 🛡️ Self-Preservation Five – Castle Focuses on creating safety through simplicity, privacy, and conserving energy. These Fives build an inner sanctuary where they can think clearly and feel protected from overwhelm. 🤝 Social Five – Totem Focuses on mastering knowledge that serves a larger purpose. They often become experts in areas that contribute to a community, philosophy, or field of study, finding belonging through wisdom and insight. ❤️ One-to-One Five – Confidence Focuses on finding one person, relationship, or pursuit worthy of complete engagement. While often private, these Fives can become surprisingly passionate, expressive, and deeply committed when trust is established. The instinct doesn't change the core Type Five pattern, it changes where energy is invested and how security is sought. Understanding your subtype can help you recognize the particular way your personality manages scarcity and discover that your deepest resource is not what you accumulate, but the presence you embody. Reflection: Which of these three expressions feels most familiar to you or to a Type Five in your life?

Enneagram Type Eight: The Three Subtypes
Every Type Eight seeks strength, autonomy, and the freedom to protect what matters. But the three instincts shape how that power is expressed. 🛡️ Self-Preservation Eight – Satisfactory Survival Focuses on creating independence through resources, resilience, and self-reliance. These Eights are practical, grounded, and determined to ensure that they—and those they care about—have what they need. 🤝 Social Eight – Solidarity Focuses on using strength in service of the group. These Eights naturally step into leadership, protect the vulnerable, and fight for justice, often becoming champions for others. ❤️ One-to-One Eight – Possession Focuses on intensity, passion, and total engagement in relationships. These Eights seek deep, powerful connections and often bring tremendous vitality, loyalty, and presence to the people they love. The instinct doesn't change the core Type Eight pattern, it changes where power is directed and how protection is expressed. Understanding your subtype can reveal the unique strategy your personality has developed and help you discover that true strength is not just the ability to control life—but the capacity to remain open to it.
