First EVER Lifting Exercise!
Wanted to celebrate a win. I did my first ever lifting exercise yesterday! Small win but gotta start somewhere I suppose. Anyway super pumped. Ever since I started glp1s I feel like my body wants to work with me rather than against me. I mean that before I had no desire to exercise. In fact I dreaded the idea. Now? I actually am looking forward to it. Now the soreness on day two is not fun but looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow for my second work out.
Down 30 Lbs!!!
Hey everyone, I’m a longtime friend of Lane and have followed his journey since the beginning back when he started his first YouTube channel. You won’t find a better guy! When he started sharing his fitness journey, I knew he was someone I could trust, and honestly his story really kicked my own health journey into overdrive. I started taking Tirzepatide on April 12, and as of today, May 27, I’m down 30 pounds!!! It definitely hasn’t been easy every day. At first, I was skeptical because the shots made me feel like I had a stomach bug for about a day after taking them. But after the first couple weeks, that feeling pretty much went away, and now it just works by quieting the constant hunger signals. I’ve also been trying to do this the right way by hitting the gym at least 3 times a week and walking or running 5 times a week because I didn’t want to lose my guns either 😂 I say all that because if you joined this group and you’re skeptical about GLP-1s, you’re in the right place. I know Lane puts in hours and hours of research to make sure he’s giving people good information, and I’m really grateful he’s been willing to be vulnerable and share his journey publicly. I still have a ways to go, but I already feel so much better and definitely feel like I’m finally headed in the right direction.
What are you doing different?
For me, I have always hit the gym. I have had a solid routine for years but got comfortable. Now I am pushing it more with lifting. Told myself for years that I was “too old to dead lift”… Well that is not the case. Mind you I am not doing crazy weight, but I am lifting to failure in reps. I have built up to 225lbs and today I did 12 the first set, 9 the second, and 7 the third set then dropped down to. 135 and did 20. Disclaimer, I’m 5’6 and weight 152lbs now.
What are you doing different?
HUGE Thank you to the First 50!
Hey guys! Just wanted to say we just hit 50 members. This is only the beginning. Super pumped to be on this journey with all of you. Thanks for being here. What is a win you can share? For me, it's that I have consistently lifted long enough to really know my way around the gym. Might sound like a small thing, but I go in there with a plan, I know what I'm doing, and I get it done. It didn't used to be that way. I'd love to hear your wins!
My 1 Year Body Composition Results
I just got my 1-year SECA body composition scan back. Here's what actually happened: Down 55.4 lbs total. 47.5 of those pounds were pure fat. That's 88% fat loss. 14.2% body fat. Muscle Score went up 10 points. The "you're going to lose all your muscle" crowd needs to see this data. GLP-1 didn't make me skinny fat. It made me lean. The resistance training kept the muscle. The protocol works when you do it right. Curious -- has the fear of losing muscle held you or anyone you know back from GLP-1? Drop it below.
