Letting go isn't about pretending the past never happened. It's about refusing to let it keep deciding who you become. One of the biggest shifts you can make is to stop asking, "Why did this happen to me?" and start asking, "What did this teach me?" The moment you find the lesson, you stop carrying the experience as a burden and start carrying it as wisdom. That's when you begin to realize life has been happening for you all along. Another thing that's helped me is remembering to forgive the version of myself that didn't know what I know now. We all make decisions with the level of awareness we have in that moment. Don't hold your past self to today's level of understanding. Honor who you were, appreciate what you learned, and keep moving forward. And finally, remember this... The past is your teacher. It was never meant to become your home. Take the lessons. Leave the weight behind. Your future needs your presence far more than your past needs your attention. What's one lesson your past has taught you that you're genuinely grateful for today? I'd love to hear it below.
