Sumbrada Drill
Just uploaded a quick 5-minute video on Sumbrada. This is a 10-count drill that flows continuously with a partner and is a great way to develop timing, coordination, reactions, rhythm, and flow within the Filipino Martial Arts. This video is more of a quick overview and demonstration of the drill in action. I’ll also be uploading another video soon where I slowly break down the angles and structure step-by-step. For now, hopefully you guys can get some value from it, play around with the flow, and start getting a feel for the rhythm of the drill. https://youtu.be/KM2G2F3pZYY?si=N4mr_BMmmKeMnA_O Let me know how you get on with it.
🔥 19 HIT COMBINATION BREAKDOWN 🔥
I’ve just uploaded a new video for you all — and this one’s a challenge 💪 We’re working a full 19 strike combination, but don’t worry… I’ve broken it down into small, manageable chunks so you can build it up step by step. 👊 We start in the middle: Jab, Cross, Slip, Cross, Hook Then we add the back end: Roundhouse Kick, Spinning Backfist, Cross 🔥 Front end of the combo: Jab, Jab, Cross, Roll, Cross, Hook, Cross Then we layer in: Body Cover, Uppercut, Hook, Cross ⚡ Full 19 Hit Combination: Jab, Jab, Cross, Roll, Cross, Hook, Cross, Body Cover, Uppercut, Hook, Cross, Jab, Cross, Slip, Cross, Hook, Roundhouse Kick, Spinning Backfist, Cross Take your time with this one — drill each section, then start linking it together. This is great for flow, conditioning, and coordination 🥊 💬 Let me know how you get on, and if you’ve got any questions drop them below! 🔥 Bonus challenge: Once you’ve got it down… can you modify or add your own ending?

This week we’re working on 5 single stick combinations built around: - Double Arko strikes - Redondo strikes - Sungkite strikes These are core movements you can build a LOT from… and I’ve even added a 6th combination for you to get stuck into 👊 Take some time to train these at your own pace and let me know how you get on. 💡 Challenge for you:Why not play around with these strikes and create your own combination? Drop it in the comments or share a video—I’d love to see what you come up with. Let’s get to work 💪

🔥 First Weekly Live Training Session Done!
We’ve just wrapped up our first of the ongoing weekly live training sessions. In this session we started with some stick and knife combinations that are perfect for solo training, so you can practice them anytime even if you don’t have a training partner. 💪 A small heads up — the audio isn’t the best on this first recording. I’ll be hooking up my mic for the next session so the sound quality will be much better going forward. 🎙🎛 Remember, all of these sessions will be recorded and saved inside the community. So if you can’t make it live because of work commitments or unsociable hours, you’ll still be able to watch the replay and train along at your own pace whenever it suits you. Great start today — looking forward to building this into a solid weekly training routine with you all. 👊

Train in 3: Triangle Flow Drills with Sinawali & Sumbrada
Another request from the community—and this one’s a great concept to level up your training 🔥 In this video, I break down a simple but powerful way to train in a group of three using a triangle formation. We start by feeding techniques between two partners on a count, then transition into a circular flow where the same techniques keep moving around the group. This method builds timing, awareness, and flow while keeping everyone active. In this session, we cover: - Double stick sinawali in a rotating triangle drill - A smooth transition into single stick sumbrada flow - How to keep the drill continuous and engaging for all three people Perfect if you’re training with a small group and want to add structure and movement to your sessions.
