🪵 Indian Clubs – Old School Strength That Still Works
The Indian Clubs were first introduced to me many years ago by my Great Uncle (my dad’s uncle). He served in the British military during the Second World War and was one of those old-school tough men who believed in staying physically capable for life. He lived into his late 90s — and he was active for almost all of it. He learned Indian Clubs while serving… and he never stopped using them. That always stuck with me. Indian Clubs might look simple, but they are an incredible training tool for: Shoulder health Arm strength Grip endurance Coordination Joint mobility Longevity training They build strong, resilient shoulders in a way that modern gym machines just don’t. Circular strength. Fluid strength. Functional strength. I’m digging my set out of the shed and bringing them back into my own training. This short video shows you how to start using them properly. If you’ve never tried them before — give them a go. Your shoulders will thank you in 20 years 💪 Have any of you trained with Indian Clubs before? https://youtu.be/jdUK189rRbI?si=yLoTIOXSnDFfe5Dm
🥢 New Double Stick Drill Drop
Just uploaded a new training video to the community. This one links 3 key drills together into a flowing line/walking drill: Downward X-strikes Upward X-strikes High Low High strikes We’re not staying static… this is done moving across the hall using footwork forwards and backwards. The goal is to build coordination, rhythm, and the ability to strike while travelling — not just from a fixed stance. Start slow. Focus on structure and timing. Then let it flow. Give it a watch, try it out, and let me know: ➡️ Which section feels smooth? ➡️ Which bit needs more reps? Consistency builds flow. Let’s get to work. https://youtu.be/wShKF1EbPdM?si=lkySby8Am6O_xtoO
🥢 Sinawali – The Cornerstone of Double Stick Training
I’ve just uploaded a beginner-friendly breakdown of Sinawali, one of the classical double stick drills that sits at the heart of Eskrima (also known as Arnis / Kali). If you’re training Filipino Martial Arts, this drill is not optional — it’s foundational. In the video I break it down step-by-step so you can: ✅ Build coordination ✅ Develop left & right side balance ✅ Improve timing and rhythm ✅ Start building real double stick flow If you don’t know this drill yet — now’s the time to learn it. If you already know it — sharpen it. https://youtu.be/al2kWIte324?si=1GhJnbftC9__LA15
Double stick partner work.
It’s one thing to move both hands independently…It’s another to match timing, control distance, and maintain flow with someone firing back at you. That’s where real growth happens.

Deadpool Double-Stick Drill 🔥
I’ve just uploaded a fun new drill inspired by Deadpool into the community. In the film, Deadpool uses double sticks to deflect bullets — now… we won’t be doing that anytime soon 😅 — but the coordination, timing, and flow from this drill are brilliant for developing real skills. In the video I break it down in two ways: - Right-side lead - Left-side lead This is a great one for: - Hand speed - Ambidexterity - Rhythm & flow - Brain–body coordination - Start slow, build the pattern, then gradually increase speed once it feels smooth. It’s meant to be fun, but it’ll also sharpen your double-stick control fast. Give it a go and post a clip below if you try it 👇Which side felt more natural… right or left?
