KEXP question
Wondering if there are certain artists you would like to hear on KEXP that aren't played. I LOVE and rely on KEXP to keep me sane every day, so not trying to beat up on anyone. Specifically, and I’m sure I’ve mentioned it in other posts, I love CMAT’s music. Alone, with John Grant, all of it. I think her voice and songwriting are amazing. But she can be polarizing. That’s never stopped KEXP, and that’s a good thing. Just wondering if there are moratoriums in certain artists.

Daily Music Diary Mix
So one thing I’ve gotten into over the last few years is making a song-a-day mix. I got the idea from ex-MTV host Dave Holmes, and all you do is pick one song each day… something you hear, something you think of, something tied to an event/news item/personal milestone, etc. and you just keep building over 365. At the end of each year (or each month, even) not only do you have a sweet - and often very random! - mix but afterwards you can look back on it and re-live the time… be it “oh yeah, that’s the day I watched ____” or “I was out at my local and this song just hit the moment perfectly!” Just sharing in case anyone here wants to give it a go moving forward! Or maybe you do it too? If anyone is interested, here’s how my year started (and, yes, thank you @John Richards for more than a couple of these!) https://music.apple.com/ca/playlist/01-january-2026/pl.u-b3b84WNUbAvLP https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6LhKcbjOy0CkY4mJFazeCT
Nymphlord debut lp
The debut album from L.A. based Nymphlord (Tia Rabinovitz) was released a couple of days ago on Lauren Records. I've been waiting for this one for a while and it doesn't disappoint. Still obsessed with the first single from this album, Garden. The whole album is fantastic, though, and well worth a listen.
New Black Ends - All I'm Bone
New single from Seattle's Black Ends this morning. Their first with Tom Scully joining the band on lead guitar insane. On repeat for me today. Grungy. Gunk pop.

Cover Story, a game in which you try to guess an album cover
You all may know of this already, but if not - I just read about this in the NYT The Good List and thought this community would enjoy: Cover Story | Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Cover Story, a game in which you try to guess an album cover by turning over tiles obscuring it.
