2026 First Half 5x5
Here's my top 25 streams for 2026. Seattle's Korean math-rock band Plash finishing in the top spot. Impressive debut for a very talented band. Top merch item goes to Remember Sports for making a refrigerator magnet for their album "The Refrigerator" that simply says "Refrigerator" on it. Special Award to Sincere Engineer for finishing in 18th place with an album that released just days ago.

@Shane McNeil did you put those playlists together manually or is there an Apple music feature to do that?
New Josaleigh Pollett & Crowd Shy
Josaleigh Pollett has been a favorite for a while (and a great source of new music to listen to-I follow her Brosaleigh playlist on Apple Music which is updated weekly). Here new album is coming out July 24th and this is the first single off of it, and it is stellar

Here's the 2nd single from the forthcoming album. I hope KEXP gets them in for an in-station performance when they swing through on 7/30 for their Conor Byrne show. This new song is getting some airplay :)
How do you keep up with live events?
Is there any website or other service that has music listings? There was an in-store at Subpop that I missed - I didn't know Subpop was doing in-stores. Is it all Instagram now? Is there a live show aggregator?

@Andrew Martin Kay Redden started it, which is why it's so fantastic. Still tough to be 100% complete but it's definitely one of the best resources. I also use songkick, bandsintown (both are so damn thirsty with notifications but I don't turn them of so I don't miss anything good), band Instagrams are a good source, and a couple of Facebook Groups, ironically both are called Wanna Go To A Show?

Spent the morning listening to KEXP, then diving into my own playlists for the afternoon. Going through all of the Black Ends streaming right now. Tonight, heading out to see King Youngblood with Ayron Jones at the Central. It will probably be a madhouse form the World Cup crowds but will be so much fun with those two playing together (last time I saw that was 2 years ago at Black & Loud Fest). Still some tickets left! Doors at 7:30, music at 8:30 with tba special guests.https://centralsaloon.com/events/ayron-jones-king-youngblood-special-guests-jack-daniels-presents-the-world-cup-live-series/

That "pit dad" up front at the show. 40+ years of live PNW music and still going strong. I want to tell you about this band I saw...
