‘Bad’ concert behaviour
I was at a show last night and the person next to me was singing along to every word of every song. While that in and of itself is not a crime (maybe a bit of moderation mighta been nice?), this person also couldn’t have found the right key with GPS. Is there anything at a concert that absolutely drives you nuts when someone near you does it?

Bandcamp Friday returns this Friday, March 6.

I want to pick up the vinyl for Fem du Lit's 2025 release, Stigmata. It was supposed to be live on Bandcamp today but I'm not seeing it 😭 - I messaged the artist, Francesca, to see if something went sideway.

Friday 5x5
Or Sunday. Whatever. It feels like I've spent most of this year on a plane so far. Last week was Seattle, Denver, Louisville, DC, and back home to Seattle. This was travelin' music. Music for isolation on a plane, looking out the window of a Lyft, hotel room gyms, late night hotel room decompression after a 10 to 12 hour day in a convention center full of stranger.

5x5 Friday
What? I was busy, tired, and had to go see some bands play so I'm doing a 5x5 Friday on Saturday. Rules were made to be broken. Notes from the week: Velocity Girl still sounds so great all these years later. Nicole Laurenne is amazing whether she's screaming at the front of the Darts or slinging sultry sounds with Black Viiolet. Dazy is just amazingly talented and I wish more people knew about him. True also of Evan Weiss. Ska is life. Remember Sports and Ratboys poised to be fighting for my most listened to album of the year for the rest of 2026. Both on tour this Spring so don't miss them!
