Thoughts on new release? Personally, I'm super impressed by the depth and heavier vibe

Speaking of show etiquette
Do you wear a band's t-shirt to their live show?

I think the answer changes as the vintage of the band and audience increases.....maybe that just means less Fs given about what anyone else thinks
If you could only listen to music that was local to your city/region, where would you live?
Having grown up in Seattle, it would be tough to not go in that direction, but I could also be happy eating bbq in Austin just listening to Spoon and The Black Angels.

I'm in Guelph Ontario and chose to live there because of the music scene....
Cover Story, a game in which you try to guess an album cover
You all may know of this already, but if not - I just read about this in the NYT The Good List and thought this community would enjoy: Cover Story | Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Cover Story, a game in which you try to guess an album cover by turning over tiles obscuring it.

Haven't tried yet, but I do have a side hobby of taking pictures for album covers of my fav bands yet to be released albums. Will give this a go
when things feel heavy
When I'm doing the show and I play some mellow or sad music, I often get people checking in if I'm okay. The irony is, that is not what I go to when I'm feeling down. I go to the classics, the anchors, the seminal records that have kept me afloat all these years like The Joshua Tree, Earth Sun Moon, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Let Me Come Over, Cooper Blue and many many more. I'm curious, when things feel heavy, what kind of music do you reach for? Quiet? Loud? Familiar? Something new?

I somethimes go dark and introspective, Godspeed, Early Mogwai, Amon Tobin (Bricolage). Other times I go mellow/introspective like Dan Mangan. I don't think it's particularly helpful approach but I find the wallowing/brooding process actually helpful.....but usually just going for a long walk in the trees is all I really need

Based in Guelph, ON. Appreciate almost all forms of music. Find me on the beach, in the forest, or on the court. Good vibes and community are key.
