Different paths in creating content and making money
When I was starting out 3 years ago from scratch, I started making content. I've built my audience (70k followers on all social platforms) and eventually, I made a lot of money from it.
The goal was to have financial freedom, not to have a lot of followers.
The goal of having a business/side hustle is to make money.
So going all in on creating content WHEN YOU START can be tricky (you make little or any money from it).
So I compared two routes:
Make content to make money (focusing most of your time on content creation and get money eventually)
OR
Make money to make content (focusing most of your time on growing business, not audience)
1st route:
  1. You don't have much to talk about (you just start)
  2. You don't have money to invest, so your growth will be slower
  3. You don't make "how to" content,
  4. You document your journey to your goal (ex. From 0 to 10k/mo)
  5. You synthesize others' wisdom
  6. (Not ethical) Fake it till you make it
2nd route:
  1. You get a YouTube/Instagram/Twitter Coach
  2. You invest in VA to help you with creating content
  3. You invest in video editor (or content editor)
  4. You invest in ads/shutouts to get more exposure
  5. You share your knowledge and experience (because you did it)
I heard Alex Hormozi talked about this in one of his keynotes:
  1. Do sh*t
  2. Talk about sh*t you did
I think that's the secret why he grew so fast - he has the knowledge and experience, and now he's just sharing without researching, scripting etc.
And he made $100M without social media.
EDIT: Here's the keynote
So what do you guys think about these approaches?
Which route do you think will be faster?
Feel free to comment, I want to know your opinion. I want to see different angles ;)
PS. If you are consistent, you will get there eventually, no matter which route you choose.
