Last week was awesome - I closed my 9th storage deal, but....
But the best deal I closed last week wasn’t in real estate.
It was 11 miles on an e-bike with my dad.
We were in D.C. at the beginning of the week for my daughter’s volleyball tournament at the Naval Academy.
Between games, we hopped on bikes and rode past the monuments, through history, side by side.
No phone in my hand.
No spreadsheets.
No brokers.
Just me, my dad, and a city that’s seen a lot more than a couple of storage guys on e-bikes.
That ride was a bigger win than any facility I’ve ever closed.
Because the truth?
Business wins matter.
But legacy moments?
They matter more.
The pride I felt watching my daughter play…
The joy of pedaling next to my dad…
That’s freedom. That’s why we do this.
Here’s the lesson:
Money’s great. Deals are fun.
But the real scorecard?
Who you get to share it with.
