Wrong advice
“Help” is a very vague idea. I wouldn’t go around asking established voice actors for opportunities or hand outs. It usually looks bad. Ya know, before I had a career in VO, I was a broke stage actor, going to college and taking any acting job I could get. I was paid in coupons for doing local business commercials with frugal business owners who didn’t care if I did it for free. Expect to be working hard towards a career for a few years. You need training, coaching, acting lessons, improve classes, audio / sound production knowledge, and courses on how to audition. It takes years to get started and there aren’t any shortcuts. Nobody just gets thrown into the deep end and starts working on big five studio projects. There is such a thing as “paying your dues”… juss sayin’
I apologize if that came off as rude. But I get asked a lot how someone can get into voice acting. My answer is always the same. “Do it for free for at least a year. Don’t expect anyone to hand you anything. And if you still want to be a voice actor… keep at it!
Someones answer to this person.
Sounds like good advice, Rick and I know what you mean as I get that question often. When I start to explain all that is involved...."crickets"

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! And in this group we got the proof. That he's DEAD WRONG! And there's way more work out side "working on big five studios projects." Maybe that's where he wants to go. And what he put up with to get work as a "broke stage actors" in local markets. This person gives the industry a bad name... Juss sayin' 😒
And some poor newbie is reading this and getting turned off, because no one helped you, you don't feel the need to help others. And then try to justify it with this garbage. yes it makes me very mad.😡🤬
