In 2016 I decided that I would run in a 100km race in 2017. I have always planned my own training and have performed pretty well without a coach. Running 100km was new territory for me. With that in mind I decided to get the help of a coach.
It was the best decision that I have ever made. The race went better than I expected and other areas of my running improved. I achieved things that I never dreamt were possible.
The way I see it is that you can do well in any field without a coach. However, a coach will help you to raise your game above your expectations.
