Edit: You can now see which tier you are on. Settings- Growth Tab
Here's a short summary of what's new this week.
1. REVIEWS NOW SORT BY "TOP"
The reviews on your About page now appear in "Top" order by default, instead of "Newest." This means a single low rating or a "How do I cancel?" comment no longer appears first. Visitors can still choose to sort by most recent.
The "Top" order considers:
- Star rating (five stars rank above four stars, and so on)
- Whether the review includes written text
- How long the reviewer has been a paying member
- Whether they're still paying
As a result, your best and most trustworthy reviews appear first, which helps more visitors decide to join.
2. ACCURATE "STILL A PAYING MEMBER AFTER X MONTHS"
If someone left your community and joined again, their review used to show only the months since they last joined. Now Skool adds together every month they paid, so the length shown is accurate.
3. THE NEW GROWTH TAB (available later today or tomorrow)
You can finally see exactly what Growth Boost is doing. The new tab shows whether ads are running for your community, what they look like, and exactly what you need to reach the next level. All requirements are measured over the last 30 days.
(see attached image)
Level 1: An improved cover image and a place in the Discovery carousel
Level 2: 10 custom ads that promote your community
Requirements: 100 About page visitors and 1 new paying member
Level 3: A dedicated ad campaign with 30 custom ads and up to $1,000 per day in ad spending
Requirements: 3,000 About page visitors, your Skool link in your social media profiles, regular promotion on your own channels, and 10 paid signups from the Skool Network
Level 4: Partnership ads, your own uploaded videos, and up to $10,000 per day in dedicated ad spending
Requirements: 10,000 About page visitors, your Skool link in your social media profiles, regular promotion on your own channels, and 30 paid signups from the Skool Network
How the ads work:
- Skool creates them from your cover image, community description, About page, and price. A strong presentation leads to strong ads.
- Starting at Level 2, you can see every ad, how many are running, and when they were last updated.
- When you change your cover image, price, or About page, your ads update, usually within about an hour.
- At first, you may see 5 or 6 ads instead of 10. Your ads will also change as Skool tests new approaches and formats.
- Level 3 will probably let you upload your own image ads.
-Level 4 adds video uploads and partnership ads that run from your own social media account.
Good to know: Reaching a level raises the maximum Skool can spend on your ads, but it doesn't guarantee that amount every day. Your ads still need to perform well before Skool spends more, so trying to meet the requirements without real results won't help much.
