Plot Twist: Apparently I'm a Bearded ManšŸ¤šŸ¤”šŸ«£
Yesterday I commented in the Skool Classifieds. A few minutes later, I got a DM: "You'd be a great fit for my community!" Well... that's exciting. šŸ˜„ So I clicked. It was a community for... Bearded men. šŸ§” I looked in the mirror. Double checked. Still no beard. I briefly considered growing one for the sake of community research, but Todd suggested I stick to studying communities instead. šŸ˜‚ It did make me laugh because it reminded me of something. Sometimes we're so focused on finding more members that we forget the goal isn't more people. It's the right people. Thankfully, I survived the experience with my chin still smooth and another research note for the notebook. 🤣 Has anyone else ever been invited to a community that made you think, "I'm pretty sure you have the wrong person..."?

One of my favorite things about this community is getting to know the amazing people behind the profile pictures.šŸ«‚ So, let's have a little fun today... Complete this sentence: Outside of work, you'll usually find me...šŸ‘€ Maybe you're... 🌿 Tending a garden šŸ“š Lost in a good book 🄾 Exploring a hiking trail šŸŽØ Creating something with your hands šŸ‘Øā€šŸ³ Trying a new recipe šŸŽ£ On the lake 🐾 Spoiling your pets ā˜• Curled up with coffee and a cozy blanket Or maybe it's something completely different! I'll start in the comments. 😊 šŸ‘‡ Your turn! Let's discover a little more about each other.

Let's Welcome Sabrina! šŸŽ‰
Welcome, @Sabrina aka Bri Gouveia ! We're so glad you found us. Your focus on customer experience and loyalty caught my eye. Those are topics that community builders don't talk about nearly enough, and they have a huge impact on growth and retention. Looking forward to hearing what's working in your community and learning alongside you. Welcome to Skoolology! šŸš€

Picture/Image on Community Card
It has been noticed that my community is moving up in the world and growing ever so slightly by someone who pushed some buttons that helped me find my message. Now the suggestion is that my card, while noticeable, lacks my image and that everyone in the category that is in the lead has them. Thoughts, opinions, suggestions please! Many thanks in advance!

@Lynne Vella I think this is the one. It’s a different way to add the face aspect without taking away from the core message. ā¤ļø Truthfully I think a billboard looking banner is awkward šŸ˜… like building your own statue šŸ˜‚šŸ—æ

Took the Score Your Community quiz? This is the thread. Drop your scorecard in the comments. Haven't yet? Eight questions, about three minutes: https://skoolology.netlify.app/ The quiz gives you a Copy my scorecard button, so pasting it here takes two taps and a quick comment. 1) Add your priority area and the first move you're making this week 2) Search comments for others with similar challenges Builders working on the same area will find you in this thread, and that is the entire point of this room. A few things to know before you post: š—Ÿš—¼š˜„ š˜€š—°š—¼š—暝—²š˜€ š—®š—暝—² š˜„š—²š—¹š—°š—¼š—ŗš—² š—µš—²š—暝—². Our own community read low on its first pass through the framework. A score is a map of where to work, not a grade on you, and the builders who post honest numbers are the ones who improve fastest. Nobody in this thread is keeping score on you. The framework already did, and now we get to work. š—›š—¶š—“š—µ š˜€š—°š—¼š—暝—²š˜€ š—®š—暝—² š˜„š—²š—¹š—°š—¼š—ŗš—² š˜š—¼š—¼, š˜„š—¶š˜š—µ š—¼š—»š—² š—µš—¼š—»š—²š˜€š˜ š—¾š˜‚š—²š˜€š˜š—¶š—¼š—» š—®š˜š˜š—®š—°š—µš—²š—±. If your numbers came back strong but your community isn't booming yet, it means one of two things. Either the room is strong inside and people can't find it, which is a Reach problem, and Reach has different fixes than Build. Or the grading was a little generous, which happens to everyone scoring their own work, and the capstone in the course cures it with one rule: evidence for every number. Post your scorecard and say which one you suspect. Both are fixable, and both are more common than booming. š—§š—µš—¶š˜€ š—¶š˜€ š—® š—½š˜‚š—Æš—¹š—¶š—°, š—¶š—»š—±š—²š˜…š—²š—± š—°š—¼š—ŗš—ŗš˜‚š—»š—¶š˜š˜†. š—”š—»š˜†š—¼š—»š—² š—¼š—» š˜š—µš—² š—¶š—»š˜š—²š—暝—»š—²š˜ š—°š—®š—» š—暝—²š—®š—± š˜š—µš—¶š˜€ š˜š—µš—暝—²š—®š—±, š—»š—¼ š—¹š—¼š—“š—¶š—» š—»š—²š—²š—±š—²š—±, š—®š—»š—± š˜€š—²š—®š—暝—°š—µ š—²š—»š—“š—¶š—»š—²š˜€ š—°š—®š—» š—³š—¶š—»š—± š—¶š˜. š—¦š—µš—®š—暝—² š˜š—µš—² š—¹š—¶š—»š—ø š—³š—暝—²š—²š—¹š˜†. You do need to be a member to comment or post. Some courses are in the private part, members only. So, share at whatever level feels right. The full scorecard is great if you're comfortable with it. If you'd rather keep your numbers private, one line does the whole job: "I scored lowest in Kinship, and I'm working on it this week." That's all the right people need to find you.
