How to deal with shiny object syndrome?
By shiny object syndrome (aka entrepreneur ADHD) I mean that constant urge to switch focus from one business idea to another, always feeling like the next idea might be the one. Kinda like the shiny object syndrome.
This morning, I suddently got the idea to start a youtube channel about math/CS to help peole in high school. Now while it's true that I have good grades in those subjects, it's also true that I've been having an audio plugin company for almost a year, and that I have spent a lot of time and money into it.
So now I never know: is this new idea a real opportunity I should explore, or just another distraction from the thing I’ve already committed to?
How do you personally tell the difference between a meaningful project and shiny object syndrome? And how do you handle those (maybe temporary) urges to chase something new?
