Thoughts on Raffles vs auctions??

Got a contractor’s association interested in auctions

Mentioned they already do raffles…

Members provide the thing being raffled off

Now… they currently don’t do squat with the non-winning ticket buyers (other leads)

Made me think…

If they run a raffle for a couple hundred dollar thing and collect that much (or more) in ticket sales…

I can probably clean up just DM’ing everyone that bought a ticket with a special offer

We’d lack some of the fun of the auction, competition, social proof & data around what people will pay, etc

But… could still be a fun spin?

What am I missing ?
