People WANT to do deals.
People don’t have the mental bandwidth to think about something new and solve the problems with the something new.
The #1 reason I say “no” to deals isn’t money or % split…etc…
I say “no” because they make me think too much.
I just did a 90/10 deal with someone where they get 90%…
I do know them…but that’s not why I said “yes”…
I said “yes” because they didn’t make me figure everything out.
I also know someone else I’ve known for years and I ADORE…
But I am going to say “No” because they are making me do all the thinking.
Ya dig?
Can you imagine how many deals are lost because we make our partners do too much thinking?
Can you imagine how many more deals we’d do if we take charge and say, “Here’s the plan…here’s what I’m gonna do…you don’t need to do much at all…I’m gonna take this off your plate.”
Making our partners think = deal friction
When there is friction, it makes sense why they’d stall, right?
It makes total sense why if we don’t lead, they are going to ask us for references and case studies, doesn’t it?
Thoughts?
Rooting for ya,
Travis
