Which “small detail” matters most for you?
Most guys don’t lose points because of big mistakes… they lose points because of one tiny detail that quietly screams “I didn’t finish the job.” If you had to pick one detail that makes (or breaks) the whole look, what matters most? Vote - and drop in the comments why you chose it. Bonus: if you’ve ever been called out on one of these, tell us which one got you.

🗳️ Help RMRS Pick The BEST Cheat Sheet Style (Lead Magnet Test)
I can’t thank this group enough
I really have had a great time showcasing my formal outfits for my National Sales meeting. One more day and night to go. I have to give credit to @Antonio Cent and the style system course along with everyone who has supported, recommended and given feedback on this group. I have received so many compliments about how good I look this week. I have also been assigned to a co-worker who needs help with a professional appearance because of the way I have been dressed this week at this meeting. It is an honor to be here, and many Thanks again to everyone and RMRS for everything. I look forward to continuing this journey and perfecting the craft.
How to fix the fashion monkey
Back on the organ grinder monkey soapbox. I was looking at several sites that are trying to brainwash guys about the poor fit of modern suits. But what does one do if they already bought one of these fashion forward gems and desire to wear more timeless style? First let’s define what’s wrong with these pics. The first 6 pics should be obvious why these looks blow the basic silhouette standards that’s at about 100 years old in menswear. Pic 1 is a very cheap Coofandy suit that’s pretty easy to spot: length of jacket too-short, middle button too high, pant rise too low pants too tight etc. but the rest might be a bit harder to see; Pic 2 is a brooks brothers classic look except it shares the same issues as the coofandy. The pant rise and the middle (operable) button in this 3/2 button outfit should be almost at the same level as the pant rise (lower the button. Lengthen the coat, raise the waist of the pant Brooks Brothers please); Pic 3 celebrates the faux pas of the peeking tie-in a bold color no less; then again in Pic 4 the bright blue screams even more a with it’s jacket too short that the pant and peeking tie aren’t even close to each other. Looks like he went shopping in the boys section; Pic 5 is a very elegant combo except for the black triangle below the coat; by now in the pic 6 the trend should start being obvious. I love the house, the car, even the casual color combo of the outfit. Too bad he couldn’t get a better fit in the grown up section. Now the fix: if one is going to “dress down” a suit- be serious about it. Pic number 7 with its more monochromatic grey turtle neck can help hide the modern suit fit. This is the simplest of fixes if one has purchased one of these too short coats. Pic 8 is actually a better fit I believe (hard to tell because he is sitting) but included it to show how having a higher gorge and quality tailoring can help with this more modern tighter fit. Lastly pic 9, I included actor Stanley Tucci, a well known aficionado of Italian bespoke clothing. Italy is where this goofy organ grinder monkey shorter coat look originated according to Travers Mahan a 60 plus year veteran clothier here in town. Tucci however completely masks the length with an exquisite fit and high style combo. The lapeled DB waistcoat, and the extra ticket pocket the sensational hang of the coat fitted to him and the style forward large gingham check with the plaid suit and solid tie makes it all- well who cares about length. He doesn’t 😉. dude looks great. Hope this makes sense.
