This Sunday we move back to Regular Time in the Chuch Year which means the paraments are green. So today I wore my madras jacket which includes green in the pattern with brown trousers, a grey Winchester shirt and brown brogued derbies. To further accentuate the green on the alter I wore a green bow tie, green pocket square and a green and white fedora. (Please note that hat was only wore for the picture and not during the service.) After service, we went home and I took off my jacket and hat and made lunch. After lunch I put on that brown linen newsboy cap and left for the Shamrock Club meeting. It is always amazing how changing to things radically change the look of an outfit.

Getting quickly dressed this morning I started with the trousers worked with a color that I knew my pink shirt and royal blue blazer would work with. Grabbed a couple of ties and settled on the one in the pic and added a beige with blue silk pocket square. Went to my porch for the pic thinking how I was going to post on the triad of colors. Blue, pink and brown. Even picked my new brown shoes and blue patterned Pendleton socks. When I got out to the car in the sunlight I realized I grabbed my charcoal pants instead of the identical pair of brown pants. 😎. Well there you go. Last night, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful date night at the rooftop restaurant at 1 Watson in San Antonio, taking in the city lights and the vibrant energy of downtown. The evening was a perfect blend of elegant surroundings, great conversation, and the simple joy of spending unhurried time together. While the venue itself reflected a sense of sophistication and style, it was disappointing to see that many patrons seemed to have little regard for dressing in a manner commensurate with the setting, a reminder that elegance is as much about conduct and presentation as it is about the venue itself.
