Is it the shoes?
I put this outfit together for a funeral and my wife couldn't get past the shoes. A pair of Stacy Adams "Wayde" plain toe oxford she just kept calling them "sexy shoes." I'm glad I chose them and just a great illustration of how shoes can accentuate an outfit.

Introduce Yourself (ALL Intros HERE Please!)
OK, so by introducing yourself you are guaranteed to get to level 2 - it's really that easy and I LOVE learning more about the cool people in this group. Feel free to share where you're from, why you're here, what you do for a living, and what you like about style. Are you a watch guy, suit guy, fragrance guy, or maybe just getting started? Have fun here!

Running errands on a foggy, drizzly morning before two separate casino gigs today. Collars and Co black and with patterned polo. Dark Wash Vertx jeans with brown Anson belt with silver buckle. LA Police gear recon jacket. Indiana Jones Fedora. Brown Justin boots. Garmin watch and Versace Eros Flame again for today. Now waiting for the Wreaths Across America convoy to head southbound through out city! Our Live Oak Citizen's Assisting Police fund raises for them!. I'll try and get a shot of the convoy and add it here later.

I felt robbed when I could not dress well when in hospital yesterday, so it was good to get back in the flow today. Today's outfit includes my first time wearing a collar pin shirt. I have one from Brisk and another from Savile Row Co. and it's easy to see that the Savile Row will be a lot easier to wear (and they send a silver- and gold-plated pin with their pin collar shirts). The end bolt on the collar pin is much larger on the Savile Row shirt vs. the nearly impossibly small bolt from the Brisk shirt. Unfortunately, the pin size for the Saville Row includes being about twice the girth, likely making it impossible to use with the Brisk pin-collar shirt. Today's outfit: Shirt & collar pin = Savile Row Co. white twill cotton French cuff pin-collar dress shirt & gold colored collar pin that comes with the shirt Slacks and Jacket paired suit = medium gray single-breasted Peter Millar Tie = Fort Belveder Cri de la soie or mottled silk tie in flecks of medium to light blue - the texture, for silk, makes people want to touch it Belt = Hanks Belt Highland Lines black leather belt with 99.5 years left on the warranty Shoes = Magnani black cap-toe Oxfords. For neglecting their care for several years (still had trees in them), the shoes are in remarkably good condition. Dress socks = Fort Belvedere OTC shadow stripe dress socks with navy on medium blue Cufflinks = Mont Blanc snowflake centered disc in silver with a round border in navy (I think Mont Blanc does the ideal size for including logos on fashion gear, but without using obnoxious sizes) Pocket Square = Fort Belvedere white linen square with hand-stitched X across the edges

Style can Kill you…
I am a data nerd. I log my outfits every day and developed an AI tool to build an outfit for the next day, including ensuring I don’t wear the same outfit in front of clients or key vendors for the past 5 meetings. I also try to avoid style faux pas. Wearing two watches is an oddity, but I love the data from an Apple Watch and the fit of a nice looking watch. After some simple research, I learned that I could wear the Apple Watch on my ankle. I previously had one of those stretchy elastic bands from Apple, so using that band I put it on and was getting all of the data as if we’re on my wrist. Here’s the crux. The band was not well fitted unless one likes a tourniquet. After a few days, my ankle and foot swelled up. When that didn’t recede after removing the Apple Watch for a few days, my podiatrist sent me to the ER. The ER found that I had developed a blood clot and required a 24-hour stay to break it up and 9 months of follow up treatment with medication. The lesson is not don’t let fashion kill you. It is absolutely don’t be an idiot… oy vey.
