With the Panama hat now in rotation, I figured it was time to take a proper swing at a bit of sprezzatura. Starting on the bottom working my way to the top, I was planning on a lot of walking, so I chose my very comfortable pair of Allen Edmonds leather sneakers. Moving up, I added a new pair of olive linen trousers. I chose a simple white t-shirt to lay the foundation of my upper half and layered it with a 100% cotton country twill stripped vintage short sleeve shirt. To sharpen the balance, I’d trade the shoes for a cognac pair of drivers and swap in an ecru-toned undershirt—or better yet, a lightweight knitted polo for a cleaner line. A cream or tan unstructured jacket, finished with a simple pocket square, would bring it all together without trying too hard. Either way, I had fun experimenting with different fabrics and color combinations in this lovely 90+ degree humid weather in SATX. As always, I welcome your comments, critique’s, and recommendations.
