This is who I am now.

I've only recently made the conscious effort to dress better earlier this year and I've found myself spending time each morning looking in the mirror feeling awkward and second guessing every article of clothing. However I recieved an interesting comment just this morning that changed how I see myself. There was a department wide video conference, so about 20 people across the US and not just the handful in my office. With a white button up shirt, sleeves rolled and cuffed just below the elbow, a medium grey tweed waistcoat and navy blue chinos I was looking slightly dapper. One of my remote coworkers pointed it out and said they liked my fancy vest. Another remote coworker said "Well yeah, thats just Steve. He's the only one of that still gets dressed up on these calls." Looking around I saw that almost every single person was in t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie.

Being recognized for my outfit was nice, however being recognized as the guy who's expected to wear this outfit is a massive boost to my confidence.
