Back in 1996 I was a Supporting Artist in the film about Henry Purcell, ENGLAND, MY ENGLAND. In fact I played seven different background characters with seven different costumes. This was the best one! The period is the late 17th century, the time of the Restoration of the monarchy. We were about to film a scene in which Charles II, played by Simon Callow, walked, in one shot, through eight different rooms, the cameraman backing away from him and the boom operator having to 'duck' the boom through every doorway. Fun! I played one of several courtiers marching along after him.
