Watching one of my favorite films again, Seven Days In May starring Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, made in 1964. It's a political thriller concerning a plot that involves military brass and Senators, and as such there are plenty of gentlemen in suits: Frederic March, Martin Balsam, and Hugh Marlowe, among others. Kirk Douglas wears a Marine officer's uniform for most of the film, but does don a suit for a sequence of scenes between him and Ava Gardner, who looks fetching herself in a simple blouse, cardigan sweater and pencil skirt in those scenes, and several in the Oval Office. Burt Lancaster spends the film in his Air Force general's uniform.
