@James Milson Thanks, James! With the summer Florida heat fast approaching I'm searching for some linen pants to go with my linen shirts.

@James Milson Thanks, James! I'm also starting to wear my pants at my natural waist instead of my hips, at least the ones that I can without them being too short. I was afraid that I would have to tighten my belt so much to keep them up there that it would be uncomfortable, but not so far.

Your default dress
As you've progressed through your style journey, you've probably learned how to dress appropriate for the company and environment. How has your style journey influenced your default style (in no specific company or environment) either at home or in public? For me, I used to the typical whatever jeans and graphic shirt guy (Yea....I know....but we all start somewhere). Now my default is slightly improved: nicer jeans (darker with no wear marks) and a nice solid black shirt or polo.

My style has definitely evolved over the years. My teens and twenties saw me wearing jeans and graphic tees or flannel shirts, at least when I wasn't wearing my Navy uniform. In my thirties and forties I leveled up to short-sleeve button-ups or polo shirts with my jeans. I occasionally wore chinos as well, and long sleeve button-ups or cable-knit sweaters during cold Nebraska winters. My fifties were a decade of backsliding, we moved back to Florida and I fell into the habit of wearing comfortable cargo shorts/pants and oversize graphic tees or polo shirts worn untucked to hide my expanding midsection. When I hit 60, I looked around at guys my age or older and realized that I looked the same as most every retired guy in Florida. That sparked some introspection and the realization that I could, and should, do better. Since that time I have completely revamped my wardrobe, choosing chinos, dress slacks, properly fitted long-sleeve button-downs and polo shirts for a more classic smart casual look. I also started acquiring more classicly stylish shoes like leather loafers, monkstraps and boat shoes to replace the sneakers and canvas Skechers I had been wearing. I also inherited several watches, growing that into a larger collection.
Warming up
With the weather warming up, do you change to short sleeve?Button downs, or do you still rock the long sleeves? And roll them up

I have a couple of short-sleeve shirts, but I prefer the roll-up look. If it gets really hot, the linen shirts come out.

Billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Oh, wait, that's Tony Stark. I'm just a working man trying to learn all he can on how to be stylish on a budget.
