Spa day...with more driving and less sauna
It's sort of like a spa day today, half-hour massage at the chiropractor and pedicure, calf scrub and hot stone massage at the nail place. A little pampering is good for the soul. I wore shorts to avoid rolling the legs of linen pants for the pedicure. Blue Brooks Brothers linen shirt with diamonds Gray textured Goodfellow linen shorts and tan Anson belt with silver buckle Apricot espadrilles with no-show socks White US Polo Association vented flat cap Phlyda Seamaster 300M homage watch

@Chad Smith Thanks, Chad! I wear jeans to the wholesale club even if it's hot because my chinos always seem to get stained when we go there.
You don't have to spend a lot of money!
Normally I would have posted this in the Shoe section, but I thought I would put this out there for everyone. If you know me I I don't just enjoy nice things, I enjoy the caring and maintaining of everything that I own. If I am willing to spend my hard earned money on something, then it is my responsibility to take great care of it. Shoes are one of those items that I enjoy, buying, wearing & caring for them. I have some very expensive shoes and some not expensive shoes. It really depends on what I'm looking for. Here is an example of what you can find for literal pennies on the dollar. The first pair is a pari of Allen Edmonds Strandmocks. They are visually brand new. I bought a similar pair of these 10+yrs ago in Nubuck and paid over $300 for them new. I found this pair on eBay and paid $140. They are so clean, I don't think they will take much work for me to start wearing them right away. They don't need a resole or heels or anything. The Second Pair are Vintage Allen Edmonds Woven Derby's. a great Casula shoe that I will wear for summer. I paid $35 for this pair!! Thats right $35. Even if I put on new soles, heels and new corking I'll be in them for less than $200 and will have a brand new pair of shoes. The last pair are Ralph Lauren/Crockett & Jones Spectator shoes. These will be a fun pair to wear with linen trousers during the summer. These are also in exceptional shape from what I can see and based on my research they were around $500 or more new depending if they were Purple label or not. I'll know more when they arrive. These don't appear to need soles or heels and for $75 it is still a bargain! I love to restore old shoes and care for my new ones with Polish, wax etc, so I will do all that work myself. I just thought I would share to the group, that you can have preloved very expensive shoes and bring them back to life and make them yours for a very reasonable price if you go looking. I hope this is beneficial to everyone.

Very nice! I love the look of all of those, although I don't think I could bring myself to wear the spectators. No, you don't have to spend a lot of money. All of my "good" shoes are either thrift shop finds or eBay purchases that I've given some nourishment and love to, with the exception of the suede ones, I just had to take a suede brush to those.
Applying the Three Color Rule
Today’s outfit gave me a lot of flexibility because the wheat/tan textured sport coat, lavender check shirt, and medium-gray trousers create a sophisticated neutral foundation. I chose a rich cognac shoe because it complements the warm undertones of the jacket, while creating a pleasing contrast against the gray trousers. They pickup the casual elegance of the textured fabric, and most importantly they work equally well in office business casual settings. To complete the ensemble I’m wearing a matching cognac belt, a steel watch, light lavender patterned socks that tie in the shirt and pocket square. Given the texture of the jacket, suede loafers might be the most stylish option of all. Why? The combination of textured jacket and suede footwear feels intentional and refined rather than overly corporate. However, because I had several business meetings, I opted for the oxfords. When it comes to business meetings and fragrances, the choice is obvious - Creed Absolu Aventus.

Bravo! That is a dynamite outfit, I love that jacket, it pairs so well with the gray trousers and shoes. You're right, a pair of sand suede loafers or even a medium brown pair would look great with that outfit for a less formal setting. Well done!
Into town
Suited up for a T Town run to my office. Following the three color scheme: charcoal brown; yellow/gold and blue, I assembled today’s OOTD. I’ve spoken many times about the three big conservative shirt colors:pink, white and blue - conservative in that their remarkable interchangeability helps one conserve one’s money. Typically I wear this tie with a white shirt, but the yellow works well with blue as well. Love that combination, especially the suit pattern! How do you like the Pantherella socks? I've been thinking about getting a pair or two of those ever since I saw the factory tour on Inside The Factory on the Smithsonian channel.

Billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Oh, wait, that's Tony Stark. I'm just a working man trying to learn all he can on how to be stylish on a budget.
