J Crew For Business Casual?

I stopped by a J Crew next to work and found it a bit more formal than I was expecting. Their site has a good mix of business and business casual but the store primarily had business. It wasn't a huge store though (a typical NYC business size). Anyone have experience with their line for business casuals? They had a couple sales for 100% cashmere sweaters and I almost picked one up on the spot since it fit the fintech style I'm shooting for.

I wouldn't mind hearing feedback/experiences from folks about their suits but they seemed rather expensive for a wear once or twice a year at base prices. I'd be more open to it if they had them on sale with at least 30% off due to how expensive they are.
