Happy Place - The Kitchen

A happy place for me is the kitchen. I enjoy cooking, not baking so much, but cooking. I had two wins this week in the kitchen. The first is last nights dinner I fixed for my wife. Nothing fancy, had a couple of good round steaks that I grilled, seasoned green beans with potato's, and some noodles. I like to put Irish butter on my steaks (love Irish butter). Earlier in the week I prepared a white chili for my dad. Wasn't sure if he would like the amount of Hatch chili's I put in it so I cut it back some. He called to tell me he loved it. I also fixed him a vegetable beef soup to have on hand as well. My mom's been in a rehab center for the last two months due to a torn tendon in her kneecap and he has not been eating well - so a few things he could heat up along with some really delicious peaches. Just a few wins from my Happy Place.
