Again experimented with polo collar on top of jacket collar at the office. Most of my male colleagues are sloppily dressed. I make a case for something bold yet (retro) stylish looks. Why not if the company allows you to express yourself as long as you don't cross the line? This was my OOTD yesterday.
THE TOP: White soft-collar polo in 100% cotton.
THE LAYER: Mid-wash denim jacket (Levi's Type III).
THE BOTTOM: Tobacco chinos MTM.
THE SHOES: Brown derbies in full grain leather.
THE SOCKS: Beige
THE WATCH: Tan strap and gold-on-steel frame.
THE BELT: Reversible in tan and black with traditional holes.
FRAGRANCE: Solid cologne.
I did not have brown socks. So, went with beige which kind of neatly breaks the appearance between the similar hues of the pants and the shoes. Also, this intentional visual element adds an accent to the looks. Notice that the chinos do not have a break that I love (that's the MTM specialty).
Being non -traditional is a reflection of your personality. I am sassy, so I dig that. When were you sassy enough? What do you say guys?
