Stop Coaching on your sales calls...do this instead πŸ’°
I started reviewing sales call inside the community and ONE THING really stood out for me. It's called the COACHING TRAP πŸ›‘ AND its a sign that you all are super freaking sharp with offer knowledge, but it's getting in the way of you closing DEALS. So here is what it looks like....you jump on a sales call. You hear a few pain points at surface level from your prospects. And without hesitation you dive into coaching them through ways they could solve the problem....it makes you feel smart and special because you have the answers (feeds your ego). Your prospects feels great as they believe they have the answers and are smart enough to take this feedback and get it solved. (feeds their ego). Then reality hits and rubber hits the road once price is revealed. "I need to think about it" OR "Can you send me more info"....that one sucks huh? More info???? Like dude I just gave you all the info you could ever need. Then....they GHOST. You keep hitting them up....but you missed the shot....no hook means no way to real them back in when you follow up. So let's break this down...your crashed the plane....but where did it go wrong? Here are the clues: You started offering solutions and ideas before getting BUY IN (AKA COMMITMENTS) πŸ”· BUY IN that this problem is something important to solve πŸ”· BUY IN that they would prefer help and don't see any better alternatives in sight πŸ”· BUY IN that when they find the right help this is a NOW THING, not a SOMEDAY πŸ”· BUY IN that the current strategy at play is not yielding satisfactory results / progress over time I put together a 10 minute loom going over the coaching trap a ton of you fall into and how to shift in to questions and leading the conversation so that you actually MOVE people to take action. The 120k self help leap....
An unusual but meaningful win. If you've been in sales for any amount of time, then you know what it's like to feel the highs and the lows. The highs feel like you're on top of the world, and the lows feel like it's the end of the world As much as I love those highs, the lows never balance it out, and I always wondered if there was a better way to live After 50,000 sales calls and $120,000 in personal development, I realized that faith was the only key that would help me to actually feel peace amidst the instability of sales. I hope this helps somebody.
Holding Frame in the DM's
One of the biggest things I see go wrong with DM sets is the sales person chasing the prospect. Couple great power moves: πŸ”Ή Know your worth πŸ”Ή Willingness to lose the sale πŸ”Ή Playfullness and Sarcasm With this set I simply gave him space and let the seed marinate over night...then he asked me for a call. Funny thing is once he joins group (if we let him) then he can learn these tricks. Now that he asked for a call.....not going to say yes right away. This is where give a slight push away and peak curiosity....will drop him screenshots of the inside of the community and a quick loom to increase interest.....then he will join. When It comes to dm's we have to be willing to say no and to dangle the carrot without being needy. Cheers and crush your prospecting
