Poster Borders

Hi everyone, I have a question about poster borders.

I’m selling full page visuals, such as prints of japanese / oriental / animal style; do i need to leave a border around my image when creating it on Canva? Or should i have it right up against the edges? my instinct tells me to leave a border around, to prevent the image being damaged / covered by a frame, however i am fearful that this makes it look cheap, or not as per my mock ups and will result in bad reviews.

From everyone’s experience, can i ask what you would you all advise?
