Thought I had my first sale.....
Turns out it was a scammer 🀯 Asked what e-mail address the digital download would come from, so I (probably stupidly) let them have it, then had an email from a .cz email address asking me to click a link. They said they had purchased the download but my spidey-sense were tingling when nothing came up on the Etsy Dashboard. User reported - emails deleted! Turns out all those years spent working in an IT department served me well 🀣

Adding Images to PrintShrimp.... at what point?
Hey all, At what point should I be adding the images for my listings to the PrintShrimp Dashboard once my listing has gone live on Etsy? Would it be recommended to add them as soon as the listing is live, just before I create the listing or wait until I have the sale before adding? What does everyone else do? TIA

Just thought of another question.... when creating the listing I add the SKU, I take it when the sale is made on Etsy, this information goes across to PrintShrimp as I have added my store, then the SKU is taken from Etsy so that they know what to print?

@Tom Beeston Sounds like a good idea πŸ‘
We just hit 100,000 orders on PrintShrimp πŸŽ‰
Wow - can't believe I am writing this! Two of us started PrintShrimp about 18 months ago with no idea what we were doing, limited savings to live off, and a dream. Some of you may remember the days before we had an order portal - we literally accepted orders only via email for the first 6 months! We made an Instagram post to tell the story of how we got here, take a look :) https://www.instagram.com/p/DV_C73ZDAmH/?img_index=1 Don't let anyone tell you Etsy is too saturated - these 100,000 orders literally came from YOU guys! Feel free to take a look at the post and drop us a follow if you haven't already. THANK YOU to all of you for using PrintShrimp. This has been the best journey ever and we feel like we are just getting started πŸ™ Love to you all! ❀️

First Listing Up on Etsy!!
I'm going to be a millionaire, right? 🀣🀣🀣 Would anyone mind running an eye over the product, let me have any pointers/things to change/things I have done wrong?? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated 😘 https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4473018802/minimalist-warm-lamp-wall-art-print?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1&logging_key=bd221286e28199832a20997adb164253257c6760%3A4473018802 TIA x

Thank you all for taking the time to have a look at the shop and for the kind comments; community comments like this make me realise I have made the right decision going with PrintShrimp for my POD supplier. I did research the shipping costs and this page https://www.printshrimp.com/pricing shows that all except ROW are free shipping; I decided that the amount of orders that I am likely to get outside of the main postage locations (UK, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Czechia, Greece, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Ireland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Australia & Canada (To be precise 🀣) would be minimal at first. I also looked at costs, for example an A1 sized print in all countries outside of UK ranges from £11.49 to £17.49 whereas ROW is £11.49 plus postage of £8.49 total £19.98 and this is not far off the top end of other locations that offer free postage. My pricing is worked so that any ROW orders can be soaked up within the profit margins of the other locations being free postage. Obviously my initial pricing would need to be looked into again should there be an influx of orders from ROW locations.... though that would be a nice "problem" to have, right? 😊

@Mihai Volintiriu Thanks for your reply, Mihai. I have attached a screenshot of my spreadsheet and, unless I am missing any other fees, think I have got it right? Maybe you could run an eye over it for me and let me know if I have missed anything? πŸ‘
Noob Question about Best Size & DPI for A Sized Posters
Evening All, I just have a quick question, which has probably been asked before, but had a browse through previous posts and I couldn't see anything specific so thought it best to just ask..... I have watched the video about uploading the image and it automatically gets re-sized to all the A sized prints (A0-A5), but when creating the image to be uploaded, what is everyone creating?? I was thinking about creating in A3 @ 3500 x 5000 px and 300 dpi, but when this is "upscaled" to an A0 sized poster would there not be a degrading of the quality? I can create an A1 size @ 7000 x 9900 px and 300 dpi and the file size is around 40mb which I believe is well within the upload limits, would it be wise to do this for each image I upload? What does everyone else do in this instance?? TIA

@Jade Walker No sorry, I am not quite getting what you mean?? When you upload to PrintShrimp, do you create 1 image and that one prints good at all sizes from A0 to A5, or do you create seperate images to upload to each size? Thanks, and sorry for the silly questions ;)

@Mihai Volintiriu Thank you! So the larger the size I create the better? If I were to create an A0 size image it will scale down compatible for the smaller A sizes, but if I created an A3 size, scaling up to A2/A1/A0 wouldn't work as the quality wouldn't be there? I have downloaded your images and will refer to them as needed, thanks again :)
