Funnels Don’t Start on your Landing Page
The post I shared yesterday made a lot of people nervous.
And honestly.. that makes sense.
Once you see how many little things can quietly break inside a funnel, it’s hard to unsee it.
It starts to feel like everything is fragile.
So over the next few days, I want to do something different.
Instead of piling on more things that could go wrong, I’m going to show you how to systematically remove uncertainty, one category at a time.
We’ll start with the very first thing people interact with.
Entry points.
People get to your funnels in a handful of predictable ways:
> Clicking ads
> Clicking emails
> Clicking social content
> Searching you on Google
> Typing your URL after hearing it in a video or CTA
Before worrying about pages, offers, or conversions.. you need to know those doors actually open.
Here’s what I do.
I go to my social profiles and physically click every link.
Not skim. Not assume. Click.
You’d be shocked how often:
> the link isn’t clickable
> it points to an offer from three launches ago
> it loads but doesn’t track
> or it’s just broken
Then I Google the brand name and click every result that shows up.
No “page not found” errors allowed.
For paid traffic, I open the Meta ads or Google ads library and command-click every ad link into new tabs.
That’s the fastest way I know to verify your entire paid surface area in one shot.
Last step is simple but critical.
Open an incognito window.
Type your domain exactly the way you say it out loud.
No http. No www gymnastics. Just type it and see where it lands.
Now you’re no longer guessing.
You know what the entry points look like.
And once you have that confidence, you can keep it.
Tools like Uptime Robot, Funnel Pulse, or Pingdom can monitor those paths and alert you the moment something breaks.
That’s the shift I want people to make.
From anxiety..
to certainty.
One category at a time.
