🎬 Post 1 - If content is king, why are you broke? (context at bottom)
Last Friday as promised I posted my first structured Tiktok video.
The goal of this video was simple: call out the invisible pain point most creators don’t talk about.
We post consistently and we get likes, DMs, praise… but the revenue?
So I opened with the question I shared at the start of this post.
Here's the snapshot from the top of my script page in my Google Doc:
Goal: Shatter the myth that content = cash
1- Hook: “If content is king, why are you broke?”
2- Context/Story: I used to post every day thinking visibility = revenue. It didn’t. I got comments, likes, even DMs—but no consistent income.
3- System Insight: Your content needs a backend system. Without a funnel, you’re just educating for free.
4- Anchor: Follow so you don’t miss the next one in the series.
This format keeps me clear on what I'm doing with the video while I film to stay on track.
Challenge 1 belief.
Offer 1 shift.
Suggest 1 next step.
I attached a snapshot of the analytics, as proof I posted, but also to show you how I skipped the 200 view jail on video one.
I also got 6 new followers out of this video, which is a big deal for getting to the 1,000 follower mark in order to put my link in bio.
Next, I’ll break down Day 2's post: “Visibility without revenue? That’s just unpaid marketing.”
That one behaved really differently compared to Day 1, but I was testing out a different way of adding written hooks.
If this kind of structure is helpful to you, let me know. I’ll keep posting the actual behind-the-scenes as I go, not just the pretty stuff.
