Today, I’m diving into Kaelin Poulin’s transformative approach to attracting your ideal customers—without needing to be an extrovert, a camera pro, or compromising your true self. What I Learned: Kaelin’s 3-Step Formula
Kaelin’s journey from $0 to $30M year after year was powered by one key realization: You don’t have to be perfect, high-energy, or someone you’re not. You just need to communicate effectively with your ideal customers.
Here’s her 3-step formula:
  1. Call Out Your Perfect Customer:
  • Know who they are—beyond just an avatar. Understand their beliefs, what annoys them, what they love, and what they want more of.
  • Be specific: Who do you want to work with? Who do you NOT want to work with?
  • Use this knowledge in every piece of content—emails, sales scripts, posts—to directly speak to them.
2. Share Stories of Relatable Pains and Dreams:
  • Ask your audience: What’s their biggest struggle? What would life look like if they reached their goals?
  • Talk about their pain using their own words.
Share how you overcame similar struggles and how you can guide them through the same journey.
3. Share Your Relatable Journey:
  • Don’t lead with your product. Instead, start with your story.
  • Connect on a human level by sharing your struggles, failures, and lessons learned.
Build trust by showing that you’ve been where they are and you can help them succeed too.
How You Can Apply This:
Kaelin’s approach is all about being real and relatable. Here’s how you can start applying these steps today:
  • Call Out Your Perfect Customer: Make a list of your best and worst clients. Focus your content on attracting those you truly want to work with.
  • Share Their Pains and Dreams: Gather feedback from your audience—comments, reviews, support tickets—and use that language to resonate with them in your content.
  • Tell Your Story: Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. Share your journey, including the struggles and aha moments, to build a connection with your audience.
