Onboarding Session Recap – New Batch (Nov) Date: November 3, 2025
Welcome again to the Salesforce career journey! Here’s a summary of our first onboarding session: 1. Importance of Camera & Communication:We emphasized keeping cameras on for all future sessions—this helps build engagement and simulates real interview settings. Active participation, asking questions, and speaking out are key skills for success in tech interviews and Salesforce roles. 2. Introduction to Salesforce:Students shared their understanding: Salesforce is a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform that helps companies manage sales, marketing, customer support, and automate business processes. 3. Training Structure:The program includes classroom learning, live interactive sessions, onboarding videos, and hands-on practice using your own Salesforce Developer Org. We’ll focus on both technical skills and building communication mastery. 4. Developer Org Setup:Everyone should set up their Salesforce Developer Org, it’s your practice environment and mirrors what you’ll see on the job. Understanding the Salesforce Admin Role:As a Salesforce Admin, you’ll manage, configure, and optimize the platform based on business needs, bridging the gap between front-end users (like sales and marketing teams) and back-end technical solutions. 6. Front End vs Back End:Admins spend time in both spaces—configuring on the back end, testing and supporting front-end users. Tabs represent objects in Salesforce (like Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts), and many concepts were introduced using accessible spreadsheet analogies. 7. Trailhead Learning:Set up your Trailhead profile and use it alongside our training resources. Completing key Trailhead modules is required before the next class—this builds your skills and makes your learning visible to recruiters. 8. Next Steps & Assignments: - Complete your Developer Org and Trailhead setup ASAP. - Engage daily in the Skool community—ask, share, and support others. - Specific project assignments will be given for collaboration and confidence-building.
