In my further studies on the topic “Dynamic Forms”, as taught by our Mentor @Divine Lantum, I ve confirmed that Dynamic Forms is not just a UI tweak. It is actually one of the most powerful tools a Salesforce Admin has for controlling what users see, and when. In my practice of the topic in Pathway Ai, I came across a build that impressed me, so I rebuilt it from scratch in my own Developer org to understand how it works under the hood. The project: a Lightning Record Page for the Opportunity object, using Dynamic Forms to show a custom field conditionally. Specifically, a Discount Justification field that only appears when the Opportunity Stage reaches Negotiation/Review. To build it, I created a custom Long Text Area field, added it to the Page Layout, opened Lightning App Builder, built a new Record Page, and then upgraded the Details tab to Dynamic Forms. That last step is where the real control lives. Each field becomes its own independent component, and you apply filter conditions directly to it. The part that caught me out: the field must be on the Page Layout before Dynamic Forms will offer it as an option in the builder. Easy to miss, easy to fix once you know. So, for those of us studying for the Salesforce Admin exam, it is advised that once Dynamic Forms comes up, Build it once and it clicks.
