In the yogic tradition, just beneath the body layer sits the Pranamaya Kosha — the energy body.
This is the layer of breath, of emotional current, of feeling.
When this layer is in flow, emotions move through us like water.
When it's out of balance, the waves arrive without warning, other people's energy lingers long after they've left the room, and we can swing between feeling everything and feeling nothing at all.
This is the state of the 🌊Tidal Heart...
someone whose emotional body is asking for a container, not a fix.
This is the second of the five states I've been mapping, and it's actually the rarest — only about 3% of people land here.
Which makes sense, because when emotions are this loud, everything else tends to get drowned out first.
You may have been told you're too sensitive.
That you need better boundaries.
That you should just toughen up.
But boundaries alone don't always work... the world doesn't always honour them.
What actually helps is learning that your depth isn't the problem.
It never needed fixing. It needed somewhere to goooooo.
