Marketing Push and Pull (Would love help!)
This is for the marketing guys out there. I was curious about how you differentiate between push and pull marketing. This may seem like a super general question, but I am looking for examples or cases of each. One example I had in mind was a conversation I had with an undergraduate student about their project. This was a moment where you lead the horse to water rather than say “hey, do this.” However, I know that with simpler calls to action it makes sense to say things like “click below” or “do not delay.”
Clearest thing that I could think of is the difference of the 'cross roads' close and 'act now'.
The connection to all of this dating content is that preselection as proof works in a similar way to the implication behind pull marketing. In many ways I see Sartain as someone who has mastered pull marketing for dating and leadership.
I would love to see comments from people in sales, marketing, or anyone who wants to join the conversation.
