Small Steps: This is The Way
With such a fast world, it’s more important now than ever to remember to shift into a human being. Not a human doing. How do we do this? We remember to go inward, to be aware, to slow down. This happens in the small moments. 1 minute here, 2 minutes there… to collect yourself. Meditation doesn’t need to be this big event. It can be a small, profound shift, in the way you see the world. Lean into the small steps… Hope to meditate with you all in 1 hour for our Daily Sit!
Small Steps: This is The Way
Start small with being your own friend
Watching your own mind is an act of friendship with yourself. We say the cruelest things to ourselves. Things we’d never say to someone we love. But when you turn attention inward, something shifts. Curiosity takes over. Who is this self? Who’s even looking? That question alone softens the judgment. This is what fearless compassion looks like in practice. Start small. Just notice. That’s enough.

Waiting for the next big thing...
Sometimes we live in anticipation, waiting for that next big thing, and it creates unnecessary suffering. Because once we arrive, there's always another thing. All the while, we were meant to be here. This is the challenge of a mind that's always projecting forward or pulling from the past. It's how we survive as a species, but unchecked, it drives unnecessary reactivity. The middle way is a daily practice of coming home, to yourself, to the present moment. It doesn't have to feel like work. It's simply settling into the body, settling into the mind. A place that's always here. A place of rejuvenation, of freedom. And here's what most people get wrong about meditation: it's not saying no to the world. It's saying yes. Because sitting with reality, exactly as it is, is an act of courage and compassion.

Are you aware, of this?
Awareness might be the most underrated skill of our time. Everything out there wants your attention. Algorithms, notifications, outrage cycles, ads, opinions. All of it pulling you somewhere you didn’t choose to go. The moment you become aware, you take the wheel back. That’s what stillness is. That’s what meditation is. Not emptying your mind, not escaping reality. Just noticing. Noticing your breath. Noticing the thought that just tried to hijack you. Noticing the emotion sitting in your chest. In that noticing, something shifts. You stop being dragged. You start choosing. That’s where real rest lives. Not in doing nothing, but in finally being present for your own life. Try it for 60 seconds today. Just notice. See what changes.
