And Round Hill is taking no prisoners. Today a German court ruled against Suno. https://www.dw.com/en/german-court-rules-that-ai-music-firm-suno-violated-copyrights/a-78152227 As expected they've violated copyrights, and following this ruling I expect more countries/courts to follow. Suno hides behind so-called US law, but US law, insofar as it is actually applicable, is of course not applicable to the rest of the world. I am curious to see which direction this takes. From a creative standpoint and to protect the musicians who actually laid the foundation for a creative process that, thanks to their efforts, led to an actual creative end product that's being used without consent. As I have indicated earlier in discussions on this forum, I have no problem with AI as a tool, as long as it is done in a fair way. AI will be a part of our future. It is up to us musicians, mix and master engineers, producers, and artists to use AI in a fair, responsible, and creative way. We choose the tools. We derive appreciation from our hard work. I know that there are a few strong Suno supporters, with an equal strong opinionian as I have, out here. That's OK. Rock on! 😉
