No excuse
1. I'm an early bird, no matter how late I go to bed, the next day, get up: before 6 on workday, before 6:30 on holidays. 2. I'm sensitive, my brain can't get too excited late at night (counts since 22:00), or I won't fall asleep in hours. 3. Our camp begins at 21:00, normally lasts 1.5-2 hours, which has a huge overlap with my sleep time. ----------------------------------------------- So yes, I normally can't join the live class. ----------------------------------------------- But now, I'm checking the recording of last sunday's camp, till 1:15, just can't wait to post this after finishing it (1:41 in total). Two words in my mind: NO EXCUSE, unless like this time, I was on my four-hour flight to another city. ----------------------------------------------- I feel so sorry for missing this live class. Why? It's a PIRF assginment talking about getting a cold. Until now, 1:15 out of 1:41, they go through three parts: the vocabulary about a cold's symptoms, practice (pronunciation & acting), role play (describing your symptoms in a pharmacy). ---------------------------------------------------- Yes, I have a solid sleep time, a tight schedule, too many things on the plate. Yes, lame in many aspects of English so take an average of 1.5 hours out of LME for reading, listening and vocabulary. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I haven't figured it out, but I hope one day I will. To make the English/German/others balance, to make the LME/self-study English projects balance. ------------------------------------------------------------ By the way, @Miko Zhou you are soooo great this time!
VOCAB QUIZ #13
Today’s vocabulary: “ON POINT” What it means: "ON POINT" means exactly right, well-executed, or impressive. It's used for performance, timing, style, comments, ideas, or execution—but not for everything. “On point” works for things that are done or expressed well. It does NOT work for facts, states, or things that simply exist. In simpler terms: Something was DONE really well. Examples: - Her explanation was on point. Everyone understood it immediately. - His timing with that joke was on point. It broke the tension. Can you use it in a sentence?? 🤔 Comment your sentences below 👇🏻
