🌎 LME Friend’s Club 😎
💬 Chit Chat, Anyone ? ☕ Who’s Up for a HANGOUT? 💻🎧 🗓️ December 7th 🕛 12pm Moscow / 5pm Beijing JOIN ME GUYS! 👇 https://www.skool.com/lme/calendar?eid=b3a45586218e400db1123472bf3f66c1&eoid=1765098000 What Is LME Friend’s Club? - It’s a community hangout space on the Let’s Master English (LME) Skool platform.  - It’s described as “Learning Together, Improving Big Time” — so the emphasis is on peer support and community.  - They run random hangouts, meaning informal sessions where members can chat, practice, and connect.  How It Fits Into LME - LME has a classroom section for structured learning (lessons, DDM listening, PIRF speaking).  - The Friend’s Club provides a less formal, more social component — not just studying, but just being in a community with fellow English learners. - It can help with motivation, confidence, and practicing English in a low-pressure environment. Who It’s For - Anyone in the LME community who wants to hang out, talk, and improve English in a more casual way. - Especially useful for learners who benefit from community — not just formal lessons, but speaking and interacting with peers. - Good for building real-world speaking confidence, because it’s not just about assignments — it’s about conversations. WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝

@Gulistan Asan Yeah, EYE CONTACT MATTERS, mostly for confidence and connection. It makes you look engaged, helps you pick up the other person’s reactions, and makes speaking feel more natural.

@Shane Peterson I guess this guy is from California. You see where I’m coming from?
Are We Human… or Are We Dancer?
One of The Killers’ biggest anthems, and still a brain-scrambler in the best way. The famous line was inspired by a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, and it hits harder the more you think about it. At its core, this song is about identity and pressure — are we living as real individuals, or just moving on autopilot, doing what we’re expected to do? It’s full of energy, doubt, emotion, and that uneasy feeling of trying to figure yourself out in a loud world. The song asks: Are we free, or are we subjects of society? “Human” means we can act freely, while “dancer” refers to a puppet dancing on strings — someone else moving you where they want, thinking for you, and making your life a planned routine. If you listen to the other lyrics, you’ll see that “dancer” is indeed a puppet. “Cut the cord” or “let us be free” is essentially what Brandon Flowers is saying. Are the lyrics profound? Yes — in a pop-song way that sneaks up on you. You can dance to it… but the question stays with you. So tell me — human or dancer?

@Gulistan Asan Well said!
An Awkward Joke About the Pen 🖊️
@Shane Peterson When George asks, “does she walk around holding a pen that she never seems to need?” he’s referring to Bob Dole. Dole always had a pen in his paralyzed hand. He lost full use of his right arm in a WWII mortar attack and his left arm wasn’t great either. Back when Seinfeld was on, he was a pretty big deal in politics, even ran for president. I got it from Reddit.

From Pecked to Fearless: My Rooster Revenge
Today I came across three chickens. To take a photo, I chased them for a while, but I’m so happy—these cute animals brought back memories of my childhood! There was an arrogant rooster my neighbor raised; it pecked me every time I passed their house. At first, I’d run back to my parents for help, and they’d always go out to scare it away. But one day, I’d had enough. When it pecked me again, I fought back—chasing it and throwing stones at it. In that moment, I just thought: “Today, one of us is going to win—you or me. I’ll do my best to beat you!” Yes, I not only threw rocks at it, but also tried to grab its neck so I could fling it away like a shot put 😁😁😁 Guess what? I won! I didn’t actually get its neck, but that rooster never pecked me again—and that’s the best part. It even started to be kind of scared of me, hahaha~ Looking back now, that silly rooster fight wasn’t just about winning—it was the first time I stood up for myself instead of running to my parents. Those chickens today brought that memory flooding back, and I smiled thinking how brave (and stubborn!) little me was. Sometimes the smallest childhood adventures stick with you the longest—they’re like little gifts that make you laugh and feel warm, even years later.❤️
