Storytelling: A Birthday in the Middle of Battle
Y'all I made an adventure story for Xinxin’s birthday… hope you like it, my friend! @Xinxin Zhang By the way, some of you made it into the story too! hope you don’t mind haha. Don’t hate me.. @Serge Gray @Gulistan Asan @Shane Peterson The torches moved with the wind as Bruno pushed the heavy doors open. “We’re wasting time,” Serge said, walking ahead. Xinxin stopped him. “Wait...look.” The floor was not safe. Some tiles were breaking, others were glowing. Gulistan threw a small stone, and one tile fell into a deep hole. Bruno took a breath. “Careful. Follow my lead.” They moved step by step, slow but steady. Serge jumped the last part and smiled. “Easy.” Bruno looked ahead. “It’s just the beginning.” Later, they arrived at an old courtyard. It was quiet, but suddenly a low growl broke the silence. A massive creature dropped from the shadows, claws hitting stone with a crack. “Move!” Bruno shouted. Serge stayed and fought, moving fast with his sword. Xinxin and Gulistan hid behind a wall, but then Xinxin smiled. “Wait… it’s my birthday today.” Bruno looked surprised. “Now?!” Serge shouted while fighting, “Really?!” Gulistan quickly gave her a small piece of bread. “Happy birthday.” Bruno laughed. “Okay...happy birthday! stay alive! Now let’s end this!” Xinxin nodded and stepped out. “Let’s do it.” Bruno hit the creature with a chain, Serge attacked from the side, and Xinxin told them when to move. Soon, The beast fell with a heavy crash. After that, they climbed a hill and saw Shane waiting for them. The wind was strong, but everything felt calm. Bruno walked forward. “We made it, my liege.” Shane looked at them and gave a small smile. “You guys did more than that,” he said. Xinxin crossed her arms, still smiling. “It was a good birthday.” Shane looked at his disciples and felt proud. The journey was hard, but they were stronger now.
