☀️ Summer Book Sales Sprint
Let's be honest... Most self-published authors have at least one book sitting on Amazon that barely gets any sales. Maybe you published it, crossed your fingers, and hoped Amazon would somehow do the marketing for you. Or maybe you got excited about the next book idea and moved on before giving the first book a real chance to succeed. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. This is one of the most common mistakes I see among self-publishers, especially newer authors. We spend weeks creating a book, hit publish, and then immediately jump to the next project without ever optimizing or promoting the one we already have. The good news? There are still plenty of things you can do to improve your book's visibility and give it a better opportunity to generate sales. That's why I'm considering launching a 4-Week Summer Book Sales Sprint in July. During this sprint, we'll focus on improving and optimizing books that are already published. Each week will cover specific actions you can take to help increase your book's exposure and sales potential. 👉 Week 1: Optimize Improve the pieces that influence visibility and conversions. 👉 Week 2: Review Push Build social proof and gather more reviews. 👉 Week 3: Social Media Videos Create content that helps drive awareness and traffic to your book. 👉 Week 4: Traffic & Ads Learn strategies to get more eyes on your book through both organic and paid traffic. 💰 Investment: $99 The goal is simple: stop letting published books collect dust and start giving them the attention they deserve. If you'd be interested in participating, please vote in the poll below so I can gauge interest before I move forward with planning and scheduling everything. 👇 Would you join the Summer Book Sales Sprint?

📚 Did You Know We Have a Community Book Directory? One of the best ways to support fellow members is by checking out the books created by authors right here in our community. We've built a Book Directory filled with titles submitted by members, making it easy to discover new books, support other authors, and connect with fellow publishers. Take a few minutes to browse the directory and see if anything catches your eye. You might just find your next great read! 👉 Want your book featured? Drop a link to your book in the comments below and I'll add it to the directory for FREE. 👉 Please limit submissions to ONE book per author so the directory stays manageable and easy to maintain. PS - I do offer a featured book post for $10 for a 24 hour pinned post. OR for $50 a one week pinned post + email to the community. Let's support each other and help our community authors get more visibility! 🚀📖

Tracking the Success of Your Book
Many authors make the mistake of measuring only one thing: sales. Don't get me wrong—sales matter. But they're not the only indicator of whether your book is moving in the right direction. ➡️ For example, your Amazon BSR (Best Seller Rank) can tell you how your book is performing compared to other books in the marketplace. As your rank improves, your visibility often improves as well, which can lead to more impressions and more opportunities to make sales. Running Amazon Ads? If your ads aren't getting enough impressions, it could be a sign that you're targeting keywords with little search volume or that you need to expand your keyword list. Getting impressions but very few clicks? That may be a sign that readers aren't connecting with your cover. Remember, your cover's job is to earn the click. Getting clicks but not sales? Now it's time to look at your Amazon listing. Your title, subtitle, description, reviews, A+ Content, and overall positioning may not be matching what shoppers expected when they clicked. The point is this: Sales are the final result, but there are several metrics that help explain why you're getting those results. The more you understand the numbers behind your book, the easier it becomes to identify what's working, what's not, and where you should focus your efforts next. 📚 What metrics do you pay attention to besides sales?

KDP APP
Is there an app to download for kdp publishers? To check on your sales etc. I see lots of various Amazon apps but didn’t see one to link to my kdp account.
KDP Suspension for Review Manipulation, Timeline and Outcome
A few days ago, my KDP account was suspended for alleged review manipulation. Since I spent a lot of time searching for similar experiences while going through it, I thought I'd share what happened and how the situation was eventually resolved. On June 13, I received an email from Amazon stating that my KDP account had been suspended because they had detected attempts to manipulate customer reviews. The email asked for detailed information about any methods used to obtain reviews, third parties involved, customer accounts, documentation, and corrective actions. At that point, Amazon did not mention any specific book. The suspension was account-wide. Naturally, I panicked. Like many people would, I started looking for answers everywhere. I analyzed sales patterns, review history, previous account alerts, and every possible explanation I could think of. The more I searched, the more confused I became. During this process, @Adriano Ferrigno helped me in every step of the way. He reviewed the case, analyzed Amazon's responses, and drafted each appeal that was submitted. I provided the underlying information and documentation, while he helped organize everything into clear responses and guided me through the process as the case evolved. I submitted my first appeal along with supporting screenshots and explanations of the promotional methods I had used. A couple of days later, Amazon replied. They still did not provide much detail, but they finally identified a specific ASIN that was under review. I then sent additional information related to that title, including documentation and a more detailed explanation of the promotional activities connected to it. Amazon responded again with what was essentially the same request for information. At that point, I provided an even more structured response, answered every question as clearly as possible, attached supporting documents again, and explained the steps I would take going forward. On June 21, Amazon reinstated my KDP account.
