How does group coaching in this community work?
Twice-a-month we will host a live group coaching call. Although we may start our call with an initial topic to explore, coaching is co-created so topics may shift based on the group's needs. Show up ready and open to engage, explore challenges, and let's grow together. If you’re new to the group, new to group coaching, or just new to coaching in general, this post is for you! In this post I will answer: 1. What co-creating actually means in coaching. 2. How group coaching differs from 1:1. 3. Why flexibility helps everyone. 4. What members should bring. 5. How the Weekly prompts guide the direction. Okay, 1. What co-creation means in terms of coaching. Coaching is Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Simply put it is a partnership, which means it is co-created. The topics/direction of coaching is agreed upon by the coach and the client(s) in the beginning of each session. This is Co-creation. Additionally, the conversation isn’t led by the coach or by the group alone—it's shaped together in real time. The coach provides structure, curiosity, guidance and more... but the group’s needs, struggles and input determines the direction and the depth of exploration. In short: The coaching process is fluid, and value comes from what we create collectively, not from a script. 2. How group coaching differs from 1:1 Group coaching introduces dynamics that you don’t get in private sessions: - Multiple perspectives = more insight, more angles - Many people sharing experiences = “I’m not the only one” moments - Collective reflections = learning from each other’s questions/answers - Less personal deep-diving than 1:1, but more diversity of perspectives and solutions Extra Bonus: You get to practice leadership, vulnerability, and communication skills in real time. In short: 1:1 is personal depth. Group coaching is depth through diversity. 3. Why flexibility helps everyone
