Two reasons for this video
Firstly there’s just some great violin improv here. mark O'Connor is really a master of American fiddle music, not really know for jazz but he can really play over changes and has his own take on playing swing. His violin solo on this is out of this world.
Secondly in practise club today we worked on a Whole Tone Scale line that I think is inspired in some way by wyntons line at 6.26 (ish)
It’s really worth just watching this whole video tbh.
