Hi there, I've added a new monday class and slightly shuffled things around for how they run. Two weekly live sessions run in here, both on Mondays, so wherever you are in your playing there's a room for you. Beginners Class — Mondays 7pm UK For violinists just getting going with jazz. You follow along muted with my violin and guitar playing as a guide, and each month we take a different tune and break it into small, playable pieces. Over the year we work through all ten tunes from my 10 Tunes You Must Know course, so whenever you join you'll be playing from your first session, and within a year you'll have a proper repertoire of standards under your fingers. Practice Club — Mondays 6pm UK My long-running session for players already comfortable improvising over a tune. It's a window into my own practice room: each month I write an etude over a standard and we drill it in useful, challenging ways, all by ear. You follow along muted while I play. How it works for both The first 10 minutes is a bit of a chat about how everyone's getting on with their practice. You're welcome to turn up for that and share, just listen, or skip it and come in for the playing at 7.10 or 6.10. Every class is recorded and posted afterwards, so if you can't make it live you can follow along in your own time. You also get all the written materials we work on each week to keep and practise from. Bring your questions and share how you're getting on. Both classes are part of VIP membership.
