Larry Ellison briefly overtakes Elon Musk as world’s richest person.

Oracle co-founder’s shares rose by 40% in early trading, valuing his fortune at $393bn, just ahead of Musk’s $384bn.

Fun fact - I remember reading years ago that on one of his Japanese inspired properties, Ellison wanted the driveway paved with natural hand-cut stones, each requiring its own template, and that a Berkeley student helped generate those templates - implying that every piece was uniquely shaped and cut on site. This would have cost a small fortune I guess :)
