Had a sore throat

I was sick this weekend with a painful sore throat.

So I focus on the fundamentals of rule based investing

I do the analysis - follow the rules - make the prediction

Monday, oil market starts retracing and the overall stock market is heading up.

This leads to good gains for my long term portfolio.

When I am investing, I am often not performing at 120%

Instead, I might be sick, might be distracted, might be chasing kids around.

During those <100% times, I would rely on the rules that I developed to make predictions and develop a view on where the market is going

That's the crux of rule based investing - even if I am sick.
